Full mission training: preparing complete bridge teams
Groundings and collisions are rarely caused by one missing skill. They grow from breakdowns in teamwork, communication and decision-making. That is exactly what a full mission bridge simulator trains. The whole team stands on one bridge, works one scenario and reviews one recording afterwards.
| Training area | Covered on the NAUTIS Class A series |

| Navigation equipment | Radar, ECDIS and instrument training on professional systems |
| Ship handling | Manoeuvring, berthing and traffic scenarios with realistic hydrodynamics |

Frequently asked questions
What makes a full mission bridge simulator different?
Scope. A full mission bridge simulator recreates the complete operational environment, so an entire bridge team can train together: navigation, communication, decision-making and workload distribution under realistic pressure. Skill simulators train individuals on specific tasks; full mission training builds the team performance that prevents real incidents.
Which STCW courses does the NAUTIS Class A series support?
The NAUTIS Class A series supports training in navigation equipment, ship handling, GMDSS and bridge resource management, covering STCW courses 1.07 through 1.34 and 7.03. That range lets academies run their core certificate portfolio on one platform, from officer of the watch preparation to bridge team assessments.
What is included in the Standard Class A configuration?
The Standard Class A is the compact entry into full mission training. It combines seven NAUTIS outside view displays with binocular view, radar, conning, overhead and instrument panels, RH Marine ECDIS, Vox Maris GMDSS, the NAUTIS Instructor Station with debriefing and ENC support for ten ports, plus a standard vessel and environment package.
How does debriefing work in team training?
Every exercise is recorded at the instructor station. After the run, the team reviews the playback together: track, commands, communication and timing. Seeing the exercise back settles discussions about what actually happened and turns each scenario into a concrete lesson, which is where bridge resource management training makes its biggest gains.
