Rotterdam, 4 February 2020 – As of this year, Fabian van den Berg will become the new CEO of VSTEP Simulation. He will be replacing Henk van den Berg, who will remain the main shareholder and further continue in an advisory role. Fabian will be supported in his efforts by a new management team.
Henk van den Berg, one of VSTEP’s co-founders, became actively involved in company operations back in 2017 when previous CEO Pjotr van Schothorst resigned. In his role as Managing Director, Mr. van den Berg executed important internal transformations – implemented structural and organizational changes that included the formation of a new management team. His effort and commitment enabled VSTEP to optimize operations and scale-up the company’s activities. “We are extremely thankful to my father for his dedication, ideas and energy that led VSTEP during the past few years. Therefore, we are pleased that he will continue to share his knowledge and experience with the company as an advisor,” – said Fabian van den Berg.
Fabian van den Berg, now CEO of VSTEP, has been with the company for the past 3 years. Starting in a Sales Manager position and later Commercial Director provided him the time and opportunities to prepare for the move to become CEO. His first focus point in this new position is to strengthen and further expand the company’s key partner network. “Last year we signed several significant contracts that will enable us to deliver progressive simulation solutions. A reliable partner network will allow us to explore new developments and will certainly enable the growth of our expertise. On the other hand, we have ambitious plans to expand our product portfolio and prepare the organization to scale further in a sustainable way” – Fabian van den Berg.
VSTEP Simulation is a family-owned business that is currently led by Fabian and Vasco van den Berg. Vasco joined the company in 2017 and currently operates in the role of Legal Advisor. Besides this he also leads the Internal Operations department. Together with the expertise of the Management Team, VSTEP builds a solid foundation that propels the company forward now and in the future.
